The Linn County Blues Society is planning to hold the fourth Czech Village Blues on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in the greenspace south of the Czech Village neighborhood of Cedar Rapids, pending city approval.

The middle act features triple International Blues Challenge winner Kevin “BF” Burt and Big Medicine. Kevin won the 2018 International Blues Challenge in three categories, taking home top honors in the Solo/Duo, Solo/Duo Guitar, and Harmonica. Opening the show will be a unique collaboration with members of Flat Cat sharing the stage with the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy’s new Blues Band Ship of Fools mentored by Craig Erickson! Local music fans will recall epic performances by this band whose personnel have included Mark Anderson, Dave Bader, Tom Dowd, Craig Erickson, Tommy “T-Bone” Giblin, Butch, JR and Patrick O’Connell, Zeke Schuller and our deary departed Jeff Reeder. Come and see who joins the lineup this summer.
