Our Mission:
The Linn County Blues Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, promotion and perpetuation of Blues music in Eastern Iowa, as well as to provide charitable contributions to other community organizations.
The Bluespaper is a monthly publication of the LCBS.
Please submit all CD release info, photos, ads, promo and news articles etc. to: evulich@mchsi.com.
Submission requirements: Digital photos (color or B/W) need to be high resolution (300ppi). Web photos are for the web-not for print but if that's all you have, I may be able to work some "magic". Native Photoshop, Illustrator, TIFF, PDF, JPG, BMP, EPS files accepted, hoped for, prayed for.
Deadline for submissions: The 19th of each month to insure that your articles or ads will be considered for the Bluespaper.
Band and club schedule deadline: Before the last week of each month.
Also, if there's anything you'd like to see in upcoming issues of the Bluespaper,
be sure to drop me a line and let me know. I'll try to think about it while I'm watching Family Guy.

2010 LCBS Board of Directors Election Results
The votes are cast, the ballots have been counted, checked and recounted and the 2010 election tally is done. The LCBS Parliamentarian has audited the 2010 Linn County Blues Society Board of Directors election and has certifi ed that the results are, indeed, offi cial. The annual Board of Directors election was held on Monday, October 11, 2010 during the monthly board meeting at the Best Western Longbranch in Marion. Thanks to our membership for their support of this dedicated cast of characters.
Frank Wilson was elected to his fi rst term as President of LCBS; welcome Frank. Sue Dergo was re-elected to fill the Office of Treasurer. David Andrews was selected to continue as the Merchandise Chair. Janet Evans joins the Board as a newly elected At-Large Board member; she joins Bob Deforest who was re-elected as Director-At-Large rounding out our newly elected 2010 - 2012 Board of Directors.
These newly elected Officers join the other current Board members: Evan Vulich, Vice-President; Stephanie West, Secretary; Kevin Cutsforth, Membership Chair; Greg West, Entertainment Chair, Gary Gibson, Education Chair and Bill Meeks, Director-At-Large to complete your current Board of Directors. Please congratulate these hard working individuals when you see them out and about. They have generously volunteered their time and energies to help keep the Blues alive in Linn County; somebody HAD to do it!
There are, of course, other duties within the LCBS that we all need help with. If you are interested in volunteering to work on events, in Blues Education, in PR and promotions, on the Bluespaper writing articles, taking photos or delivering newsletters; we have a number of openings for you. Please contact any LCBS board member if you're interested.
